This is not a hobby gone crazy. Our drivers and co-drivers have decades of experience building, driving, and repairing all types of off-road and race vehicles. From career military to automotive restoration and performance work, Team SHOTGUN is ready to take on the most challenging point-to-point race in the world - The SCORE Baja 1000 in November 2024.

The Truck
The SHOTGUN race truck was built by McNeil Racing as a pre-runner for their Trophy Truck off-road race program. Acquired by Shotgun Offroad in November 2021, no expense has been spared to make her a solid contender as a class 2 unlimited trophy truck.

BB is beamed and strapped 24" in the front, and 30" in the rear. King, Camburg, Currie, and Wilwood proven products are on board.

Jim McGuire - Co-Owner, Driver of Record
Residing in NY but a true Texan at heart, Jimbo restores and modifies anything with an engine. He is a certified welder, fabricator, Cummins technician, and private pilot. He has two children, including a daughter that races TX275 1/8 mile.
Drew Schiemel, MD Captain U.S. Navy (Retired) - Co-Owner, Co-Driver of Record
Dr. Drew retired from 26 years of service in the U.S. Navy as a pediatrician. He has lived all over the world and like Jimbo, got the Baja 1000 bug while living in San Diego.
Eduardo "Eddie" De Zotti
Eddie races pro-cart and Rally over the past 15 years and has been points champion for 6 consecutive years in the Northeast. Eddie is also well known in the Jeep crawling and overlanding community. He fabricates everything on his own.
Ryan Heinemann
Founder of Savage Offroad and Savage Offroad Events, Ryan is a career machinist and is proficient in everything Ford Raptor from the frame up.
Mike Smith
Another Ford Raptor enthusiast, Mike handles the sponsorship and logistics side of Savage Offroad Events.
Martin Neron
Founder of Raptor "Rappy" Rehab, a shop dedicated to heavily modifying all generations of the Ford Raptor platform.
